I was born in the beautiful Pacific Northwest, in the Emerald City, also known as Seattle, WA. Growing up in a single parent household as the only child, I spent a considerable amount of time involved in sports, engaging in creative writing, and demonstrating my passion for hip hop music. When I began high school, going to college was something that hadn't crossed my mind. It wasn't until I was contacted about joining the Upward Bound program at the University of Washington towards the end of my freshman year that I ever even realized going to college was a real possibility. It was primarily because of this program that I became a first generation college student when I began my undergraduate journey at Washington State University. After earning my bachelors degree, I began my career in college admissions and enrollment, serving as an admissions counselor and assistant director of enrollment management for Washington State University. A few years into that experience, I was offered the opportunity to become the University of San Diego's first assistant director of multicultural recruitment. After working in this capacity for about five years, I was offered the opportunity to become the regional recruitment manager for The Ohio State University. I served in this role for a little over four and a half years before becoming the director of college advising at High Tech High Media Arts. After almost three years there, I became a senior assistant director of admissions at the University of the Pacific.
Outside of work, I enjoy Spending time with my family, traveling, playing and watching sports, creative writing, and listening to live music.
